I’m a Portland-based Graphic and UX/UI Designer who creates thoughtful, user-focused work that balances form and function.

With over 10 years of experience in graphic design and recent UX/UI training through the University of Oregon, I bring together visual storytelling, strategic thinking, and a people-first mindset.

Empathy, curiosity, and a love of problem-solving drive everything I do—whether I’m designing a brand identity, editorial layout, digital product, or illustration. I’m especially drawn to the puzzle-solving side of design: finding clear, engaging solutions that not only look great but truly serve a purpose.

Collaborative by nature, I thrive in environments where creativity, communication, and shared vision lead the way. I’m Cassie Carlson, and I’m passionate about building meaningful, impactful design that connects with people and meets real needs.

Charlie Sue Sees Clearing

I run a small illustration studio on the side called Golden Birch Creative.

While design had been my primary focus, illustration has been a consistent creative practice of mine. I enjoy exploring visual concepts through drawing.
